Chapter 6

In this chapter, encryption, decryption, cryptography, key, cipher text, and plain text are all mentioned. These are key factors to understanding data security and how to further protect yourself. Symmetric and asymmetric encryption provide different forms of keys. Symmetric uses one key that can be shared and asymmetric uses 2 keys, one for the encryptor and one for the decryptor. Learning about DDoS attacks and phishing at the same time explains how computers can turn into zombies without the users being aware. This can allow an influx of traffic to one server and overloading it, causing it to shutdown momentarily.
